RE: Sprite import losing transparency on newer IOS
Sorry, I forgot to include this
iPad Model: IPad Pro 13-inch (m4)
iOS version: 18.2
hyperPad Version: 2.0
Description: Transparency lost on sprites
Steps to reproduce: Importing any sprite
Additional info: Older IPad can do this just fine. Older IPad is IPad Air 4th generation on software 15.7 -
Sprite import losing transparency on newer IOS
When importing character sprites, I get a black background behind my character. This makes my sprites completely useless, because all transparency is lost
On my older IPad, (Same version of HyperPad installed but older System IOS) when I import the exact same sprites (same files just airdropped over, so it really is the exact same), I get no issues at all! It works perfectly fine on the old IPad, but the new IPad just can’t do it!
My best guess is that it’s the new IOS software causing some shenanigans. Please fix this, and thank you for this awesome app!

RE: Sprites gaining black background when imported?
I finally got it working, please read! This is some sort of bug in Hyperpad.
I tried the exact same method on my old IPad and it worked perfectly, no black background! So it works on my older IPad, but not on my newer one. They are both running Hyperpad version 2.0 (20) so I think this is some sort of IOS thing.
My new Ipad is on IOS 18.1.1 and every time I imported, the sprites had black backgrounds
My old Ipad is on version 15.7 and the importing of the sprites worked with no issues despite me doing the exact same method and using the same files.
This may not be the actual issue, but it's the only thing I noticed that was different between my attempts. I guess something in the new IOS update causes sprite importing to not work properly. Please fix! And thanks for this awesome app.

RE: Sprites gaining black background when imported?
@Kore
I also tried a separate method for making a sprite sheet (adding animations to a graphic), but that also causes the black background to appear. Is this a Hyperpad glitch?

Sprites gaining black background when imported?
Hello! I've been trying to optimize my game better by compressing the graphics into single sprite sheets. I used the recommended program, Texture Packer, to make a sprite sheet with my graphics and to make the .plist file that HyperPad needs to read the sprite sheets properly.
Everything looks good, but my sprites all have a black background that changes in size depending on the graphic!
There isn't any background at all in the actual images I'm using, nor is there any background on DropBox, but the second I import them into Hyperpad, there is suddenly a black background behind every sprite.
Am I doing something wrong? Please help!
