The issue is backups ARE working for a large number of users. This makes it very difficult to track the problem. From what we're seeing there is no common connection between the users that are experiencing back up problems.

As for servers. We're using the same servers, but changed the software and how things are handled. Basically removed the bloat to make things quicker for you, and quicker for us to update and change (and also cheaper for us in the long run).
Could this change be the root cause to the back up issue? Possibly. But again, because we're seeing constant backups being sent to the server, it only seems to be affecting a small number of users.

I understand that it's a feature that you've paid for, and definitely get that you're upset. You can go through apple to get a refund (they don't give us this ability :( ), and I'll make sure your account stays with the developer tier for an extra few months.

@murtaza If it helps, I never use my cloud backups, every project I make I make sure cloud backups are disabled (and have to ignore the warning message every time). So is it possible it’s just happening to users who are using it a lot?

I don't think this is the case. Because when looking at backups, they are multiple instances from the same users. I'm thinking it could be something about the project, or their accounts are in a "weird" state.

@murtaza Yeah, maybe some bugged behaviors?

For example, the patrol behavior caused any object that had a relative position to disappear when I made the change from absolute to relative position.

That has nothing to do with cloud backups, but the point is that the bug can be super weird inside of the project.

You're just as capable of reading and remembering the content of the forums as everyone else.
