New to HyperPad, excited, but disappointed about ….
-
Hello all, I’m new to hyperPad. As excited as I am and was to find such an app, I am slightly disappointed. Seems that all your started pack are aimed towards side view or board games.
Even tho you have birds eye view meaning top down, you seem to be lacking in that department with any kind of real started packs. Since I’m in my truck, I use my iPad a lot, so this software is purrrfect for that, but it’s harder for me to create anything top down to import. Wish you had a small starter pack. Green grass, turf, streets, sidewalk, a building or two and defiantly a CHARCTER from top down view would of been great. Would of loved to experiment with it before I put it long hours to creating my own. Otherwise very promising app.
Any thoughts for a pack for the near future?

A top down starter pack sounds good! I will send this suggestion to the developers. :)
In the meantime, it is actually better to create your own assets or even browse asset packs outside hyperPad!

A website I like to use is kenney.nl
They have a ton of top down packs.

@aPaperWeight the top down packs are for board games not actually top samples for non board games.

@aPaperWeight I’ve tried importing a few from Kenny’s and others and seems I can’t get any of them to work. Do I need to go on my pc first then drop box then import them to iPad? Just not having any luck with this seemed simple to use app but frustratingly difficult to get any imports to work app. I know I’m missing some thing simple or just not doing some thing simple right, but man as of right now, not happy about the $14.99 especially since it wants me to buy it again to have on my pc.

Not giving up just yet

@xMGDx How are you importing your assets?
Do not use the files app to import your assets. I am pretty sure this is a security safety feature, but you MUST import assets within the hyperPad app itself and not use any third-party software.
If you have a folder containing all the assets or a sequence of images, you should select them inside hyperPad's asset importer.
Make sure you are using the correct file type when importing:
- Images, thumbnails, icons, etc.:
Graphic
- Tilemaps, spritesheets, etc.:
Spritesheet
- Image sequence:
Animation
- Audio files, music:
Sound FX
- Particle data (Cocos2D):
Particle FX
- Images, thumbnails, icons, etc.:

If your PC shares the same Apple ID as your iPad, then you can install hyperPad on the PC without purchasing the app again.
