Tools and Apps to use with hyperPad
-
Thanks for the suggestions. But for future can you include the extra information?
This way it's easier to keep this list up to date as I don't have to go searching for the apps.Include Name, price, platform, description, and link to get it. Preferably structured like mine above so I can just copy paste it to the list.

Deflemask Tracker (Mac, PC) - FREE: A music making tool that emulates a large variety of classic soundchips and consoles/computers. It is a bit complex to use so new users will most likely need to follow a lot of tutorials to really understand how to use it. http://deflemask.com
I found out about it through SpectralAvesG5S in the comments on backtrack, but I haven't been able to make anything good with it yet since I haven't watched any tutorials.
Also, should we use AppStore previews like this:
Pixel Art Maker by Nekomimimi

The previews are only annoying when editing, it keeps minimising the keyboard and reloading the preview, causing me to sometimes press submit when I mean to backspace...

@Murtaza there's this great pixel tool I know!
Pixely (iPad) - $0.99: absolutely amazing pixel tool. Supports all different shades colors, custom pixel shapes, changeable amounts of pixels, and good exportation.
-
Bez (iPad) - free, update for $9.99: a very powerful Bezier vector graphic editor. Update lets you export - but you can take a screenshot and crop the picture out with a "magic eraser" type app.
-
I’ve become a fan of these two:
-
Graphic (iPad/iPhone) - $8.99: Full-featured graphic design and illustration application. https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/graphic-illustration-design/id363317633?mt=8
-
iFontMaker (iPad) - $7.99: Font editor that lets you create your own fonts and then convert them into TTF files that you can use on your Mac, PC, or iPad. http://2ttf.com/
As a side note, this doesn’t seem like quite the right discussion but perhaps we can have a topic generated for other online resources? For example:
-
Freesound.org: a collaborative database of Creative Commons Licensed sounds.
-
Fonts.com: a store with over 150,000 desktop and web font products. Depending on how you plan to use the font, some are available for free. (Embedding the font into an app tends to be pricier than using it in a graphic…)

Great suggestions! I forgot about Graphic, added the mac version as well since it's great tool as well.
I'll make anew thread for other resources. Good idea.
-
@Murtaza Bex and Pixely should definitely be included in this list. The information is included earlier in this thread.
-
@GameCRAZY
You didn't include any links and I haven't had time to research them. No links means more work for me, which means more time before they can get added. -
Oh, sorry about that! I meant to but I guess I forgot! I'll make sure to include those when I have the chance.

And to Pixely: Pixely: Pixel Art for Everyone by Mark Marchione

Game Crazy in the future can you just format your submissions as I did above? Makes it soo much easier :).
Edit: And ideally all in one posts. Keep the thread less cluttered.

Anyone know a good music software for iPad that's free? Currently I'm using "Medley" But it doesn't come with the variety of instruments I Require. Also please don't say GarageBand it's not the music editor I'd prefer to use :)
-
Nothing can beat GarageBand (yes I said it) especially with the new instruments and the way you can integrate other music apps into it.
-
I use a lot of GarageBand on my iPad to make music, and even remixed one of my own songs into a video game loop for my first project.

Ink Animator
Skeletal based animation for iPad
Its still new so they'll probably be adding more features soon
