    What does this message mean;

    “You cannot edit someone elses project while you are offline”

    While on a 4 hour flight I couldn’t edit my own project!!!

      This error usually happens if your trying to edit a project that is not assigned to that account.
      So if you used a different account to originally create that project then logged into a new account it will not let you open it.

      Other causes could be that the project is really old and hasn't been opened in a long time.

          @jonnyflapjack I've had the same issue sometimes, I think using the airdrop option to open in notes, and then re-importing from notes fixes it.

            Further, after confirming I’ve been using the same and ONLY account I’ve had...I still cannot edit offline and when I do get back online I have to go through multiple iterations to get back to my game! Its been awhile since I’ve used hyperPad, but I remember being able to edit regardless of whether I was online or not.

                  @JonnyFlapjack How old is the project? Have you tried @Jack8680's suggestion? If that fails, its a quick fix, so if you could email the project to us, I can repair it.

                          Best bet is to send it to @Hamed. Email the project to contact@hyperpad.com. It could just be a permissions issue that needs to be reset. If that's the case should be a quick fix. Otherwise we'll need to dig in deeper.

                          Glad to hear. I try to respond to every email and every question. Sometimes things take a bit longer to look into. But most users are not left hanging. :). While our app is huge and there are definitely issues we need to fix and address which we didn't know about... Our customer service has always been #1 priority and we try to go above and beyond. It's something we've always received complements on.

                          A quick example is just this past week @Hamed helped one of our users implement in-app purchases. Any other company would simply say we don't support it. But we worked with the user to come up with a solution and implemented that functionality with them (which included some custom code written by Hamed). There are also countless scenarios like this where we sit with our users and help come up with solutions, or diagnose bugs with their behaviours. Of the hundreds of thousands of users we've seen come and go, there is only 1 complainer so far.

                            That would be me.

                            And yes, this team is great! I cannot thank you enough!

                            For any of you who are wondering about Hyperpad and Xcode by the way:
                            Though they cannot command each other, but they can communicate with each other. I strongly recommend using Hyperpad and Swift, if you already know the language. I am learning it right now.

                            Hyperpad is specifically good when it comes to gameplay, obviously. Swift can handle some of the more complicated logic!

                            They are meant to be!

                              @gamecrazy

                              Have another look at what comes out of hyperPad in Xcode. It's cocos2D-iPhone and Chipmunk, which are a blend of C and Objective-C, with an OpenGL renderer.

                              @hamed has done an excellent job of modularising everything into a database, to be converted to these, by a sort of parser type thingy, from hyperPad. Once he adds functions with parameters, instancing/references, undo, booleans, conditionals that work as expected and copy/paste, this little thing will be a ripper of an engine and we'll all be able to say "I told you so" as it becomes famous, popular, cool and desirable.

                              But just a heads up on Swift.. I recommend waiting until version 5 to get serious about it, when they're aiming to fix a lot of the existing issues and properly stabilise it. Until then, learning Objective-C (and using it) is a very worthwhile and valuable experience.

                              Plus, knowing Objective-C makes sense of the more quirky Swift design decisions.

                              As to toxicity, @murtaza...

                                @deeeds Swift is a little bit easier for me, with less real experience.

                                Afterwards, I will think about conquering Objective-C.

                                    @deeeds Thanks. By the way, which languages do you know?
                                    I keep seeing you go on about different languages/programs, so just curious.

                                      This is the tutorial I am using: https://www.tutorialspoint.com/swift/index.htm

                                      I just finished learning everything through Loops, and I have read about everything through Functions.

                                        Guys you move this discussion to General discussion or private chat?

                                        This way we can continue to help @JonnyFlapjack if needed.

                                        Thanks :)

                                          @gamecrazy

                                          @Deeeds a little something from your 5th post on this forum!

                                          “But for everyone of the millions pushed into exposure to coding and/or visual coding, and all those having desired/imagined and expected it will be simple to conceive of something and then perceive how to do it with code... I'm sorry. It's not natural, not simple and not elegant, even in visual, simplified coding environments like hyperPad.

                                          Coding sucks, no matter how it's done.

                                          However, for a minority, the cold, commanding, ruthless remoteness (and responsibility free zone) that is coding provides a relief from the rest of the world.

                                          That's not me. I suck at coding. And languages. But can lift heavy things.”

                                          and now you said this!

                                          “this little thing will be a ripper of an engine and we'll all be able to say "I told you so" as it becomes famous, popular, cool and desirable.

                                          So, first coding sucks and then it’s worthwhile and valuable?
                                          I’m so confused!
