Showcasing my HyperPad projects on my website. Anything to take in account?
-
I am in the progress of creating my website, and on top of everything else, I’d like to showcase the projects I’ve made with hyperPad.
I will be linking my Hub account, my projects, and perhaps the HyperPad logo.
Am I fully entitled to do so and is there anything I need to take in consideration?
-
Nope, you're free to do what ever you want :).

@Murtaza Thanks. Is there any way I can query HyperPad to get the current likes and dislikes of my projects and other information about my project. If not, am I allowed to make a crawler for my hub account to retrieve the information so I can dynamically show my current projects without actually updating the site?
EDIT:
I think web crawling all my projects is overkill.
Is retrieving like and dislikes from my projects allowed? -
@Kamdroid get the link of your project from the hub, and build a data filter based off of the HTML.
-
@Thecheater887 Perhaps. That way I could also get the project description and latest update information etc. Not sure if they allow crawlers though.
Just wanted to double check with the devs if there’s an offical way to retrieve project information.
EDIT:
Aww, guess not, as HyperPad blocks cross-origin requests. -
This post is deleted! -
@Kamdroid Cross origin?
Not sure about all that. All I know is you need to use a useragent, and have the proper HTTP load request.
-
There is no official way you can get likes/dislikes displayed on your site. You can make your own solution if you want :)
-
@Murtaza Thank you, but can enable/allow cross-origin requests?
get an error saying HyperPad.com doesn’t allow/blocks or isn’t configured to allow cross-origin requests.I’m using the jquery $.get method, as I already need to load it for my site and it’s far less code and more powerful than doing it without.
If this is too much work, no problem, I’ll use an alternative method.
