Half the time, when I try to log into the Hyperpad forum it says that there is an issue with the servers.

Yup... we’re working on it.
Around this time there are an influx of new schools using the platform and that is causing extra strain on the server.For now give it s few minutes and try again.

Hopefully this should be fixed.... At least for now.
