@murtaza How hard is it to make a community beta? Obviously I would've stuck my hand up to join in with it, and if it helped get this update out faster I would've played with the new behaviours trying to break them đ
-
Wow, that was long. And it really helped illuminate any doubts on my end. Thanks for that.
Just from the user's perspective, everything seemed on hold, and it was pretty confusing. I checked the road map, as well, and I was happy to see that it has been updated with a bunch of new features.
I would happily start a contest, but unless it is made official and posted on the app, people are not going to take it seriously! We don't have access to "announcements" either so for now I'll just type it up, and you'll tell me what to do afterwards.
As for the hub, I think there would be more submissions if there was a list somewhere that stated the requirements (sizes, description, keywords, etc.). Then users could prepare everything before submitting. After clicking submit and navigating to another app, everything is lost every time. Or even a way to save that screen, but not publish.
Also, I didn't mean with Newgrounds. I meant with a user on Newgrounds. Why wouldn't an aspiring artist be happy to lend some of their brand new and unknown art/music for Hyperpad?

It's actually really easy for us to make betas. But you have to be invited to use it. There was just not enough interest in it so we didn't do it this time around... It's still possible, but the update will be out soon any ways so not sure if it's worth it at this point.

Things should be moving quicker from here on out. I hope...
Set up something with a contest and we'll help and put it in the hub and set up an announcement :).
Something definitely needs to be done with the hub. Great suggestions, I agree the page should be able to be saved so you don't have to reenter every thing..... Maybe just drop all requirements and have the "approval" system I mentioned above to handle all the vetting?
Misunderstood the newgrounds idea. A single artist may be more doable :)

@murtaza would it be a possibility to âghostâ upload games? For instance, if I make a game such as âlook at this rock 3, the last boreâ, it (shouldnât) meet quality requirements (have x objects, x behaviors, x custom graphics, sounds etc.). Maybe it should still upload, but nobody can see it unless the search for it (itâs not on the front page). That would theoretically remove the âyouâre not good enoughâ aspect of straight denial of service.

@Murtaza Submitted my script for the contest. Let me know what you think.
Everyone, prepare your scrapbooks and creativity. -
@gamecrazy What contest?
-
@kamdroid A celebration of humanity.
-
Contest is in the âannouncementsâ section of the forum!
-
Anytime now would be great to implement this feature.

@kamdroid
Very close. Just a few tweaks to be made.
We're adding a "probationary" period, where all new accounts will have projects go in review first. And any project that's rejected will add time to their probation period.
