Is hyperPad abandonware?
-
I literally made one post to the forum and it was down for an hour, also, inactivity and no updates.
Misled or just hopeful?
-
@thecheater887 Definitely not, developers are just busy I suppose. Community isnt always active but its there

Yes. hyperpad is dumb.
Don’t tell Hamed about it though, he might cry because he and some interns have been working for the last 5 months on the new hub.....
In case you can’t tell, that was sarcasm. No of course not. Servers went down due to load. They came back up with extra power. They worked as intended.
If the servers go down for long periods of time send us an email and we’ll see if we can speed up the process.

Oof.
Okay! I was just hoping that the lack of forum activity wasn’t reflective of its active user base. Glad to hear that’s not the case!

The forum has always been a challenge for us. Even during game press when we had wayyyyyy more users (many thousands a day) the forum only had like 20 active people.

The developers and the (small) community here have helped me a lot. Definitely not abandoned and I hope won’t be in years.
This has been best game making experience so far and the first time I’m pretty sure I will make something worthy of publishing.

The community and forums used to be a lot more active, though I think it eventually died down a bit. I'm just waiting for new updates before making anything.
I think if hyperPad was cross-platform it'd be way more popular, unfortunately I don't think they can port it to outside of the Apple ecosystem.
When the new hub comes out, hopefully with badges/achievements, it could encourage some more activity and new projects to be made.

I have a couple ideas on trying to increase some traffic to the forums. I think a lot of users don't use the forums because they forget it exists.
I'm thinking bringing attention to it by rewarding active users, and making an "announcement" type post in the app so users are more aware.Still just an idea floating around in my head. But I agree, the forum definitely needs more activity!
