Timers not in time

@aidan-oxley try Codea and Construct 3
Neither offer Chipmunk2D and cocos2D rendering, but they're both very good at what they do, and far better in just about every way, other than the above mentioned two things.
-
@aidan-oxley In direct answer, no. Have not seen an update in the time I've been using hyperPad.
-
@hamed Just a lucky coincident. Your brother and I know someone in common and they share an interest. I spent some time consulting on their desire to create an ICO based on a shared proof of work concept that was pretty cool. Then they got carried away effectively gambling on existing virtual currencies... which seems to be a common distraction.
-
@hamed I'm very keen to see a proof of work concept come to reality that's not parasitical
and/or inefficient, wasteful use of computing and/or energy. Current forms of "mining" are, in my view, legacy guff. The ideas of shared ledger DBs have been proven, now it's time to find ways to make any virtual currency's distribution mechanisms generally beneficial rather than deliberately exclusive via "crypto mining" and/or other wasteful, purposeless means. It is an interesting space, the idea that a currency's means of distribution and creation be beneficial to its inherent purpose as a store and transfer of value. -
@deeeds Well just so you know hyperPad updates do actually exist, they are rare, and have loads of content. What's so good about chipmunk and cocos that makes you choose hyperPad over Codea or Construct 3? You clearly have a LOT of issues with hyperPad.

@Aidan-Oxley Mind if I edit that last bit there? Thanks! Here goes- You clearly have a LOT of issues in life.
Oh, so much better! -

Oh, so much better!Oh he definitely has issues. Looks like he's stalking me and Hamed online. Apparently our hobbies and what we do in our free time is now his business.
Deeeds, any suggestions on what I should have for dinner tonight? At this point I'm sure you know what's in my fridge too. š¤£
Also, once again leave it to Deeeds to take a topic incredibly off course making it harder for us to find issues and fix them. Then he questions why updates take so long.
-
@murtaza calm down kids.
An unlucky coincident led me to knowing more about you than I wanted.
The good news: it relieved me, somewhat, because it explained why you're not focused on hyperPad.
-
@deeeds Iām sure everyone tells you this, but YOU ARE SUCH A LOSER!
Why donāt you just leave them alone? Theyāve offered you a refund on your purchase of Hyperpad, why donāt you leave? Yes, we all find annoying bugs, YES they fix them, and yes it takes a while. But itās worth it. Thatās just what happens when new features are added.
From what you say, you hate Hyperpad. But you stick around. So 1. You donāt really hate it, but are dealing with a mental disorder. 2. You just want to be here to bother them....okay yeah, you still have a mental disorder.@Murtaza maybe we should all stop over at your place for dinner tonight and we could talk over deeeds issues and figure out the best medical treatment?
Oh, and I get to pick dinner! I choose....uh, pizza!
-
Guys, I know Deeeds is a pretty annoying guy, but why should we waste our time on dealing with him? Look, it was just a bug report and now it turned to a real forum warfare.
@Deeeds, I'm just wondering why are you doing this. You can see you're pissing everyone of for a reason, and it's really strange that you are the most active user on forum, though you act like you hate hyperPad. As @iTap-Development said, why won't you just stop bothering everyone around? Became an adequate member of hyperPad community or just leave? What's wrong with you? -
I donāt watch ārealityā TV....why should I when I have this forum!!
-
@jonnyflapjack @iTap-Development @Andrey-Ghost
If you're not yet aware of constructive criticism and the right to critique, then it seems peculiar that you're critiquing what I write. If you are, then it's just reactive, defensive nonsense on behalf of an entity that does nothing for you.
Take a moment to figure out what you're defending.
-
the underlying problem, pertinent to this thread, is a huge issue for the (very few) users of hyperPad.
I'm sorry if that's gotten lost in whatever else has followed. This is something that can be addressed by simply following the chains of thought and approach to time used in all other game engines, that of frame/tick/physics steps or ticks.
This thread has validity, even if much of what exists within it is nonsense.
-
@deeeds āThen go play with your efforts to become virtual currency "playas".ā
Is that the constructive criticism you mentioned?
Yeah they do nothing for us....thatās why weāre all here. -
@deeeds Yes you give some constructive criticism, but sometimes you're not constructive, and you come across as very aggressive and judgemental. You're saying hyperPad or Murtaza and Hamed do nothing for us? What are you saying, that every time Murtaza and Hamed say they're working on the next update, that they are just lying? Lol let's add a new forum post called "Arguments with deeeds" at least then it'll be a forum topic that will actually stay on topic. š
