  • Can hyperPad do…
    GadgetkkG Gadgetkk

    Hi Everyone,

I actually purchased hyperPad a long time ago but didn’t really get into it. But I want to give another go.

What I would like to know is if I could do a factoring like game in hyperPad?

The thing I’m struggling with in other engines is the most basic function on this type of game, moving objects along belts.

Thank you in advance for any info and replies.

  • How to stop sliding
    GadgetkkG Gadgetkk

    Hi everyone,

I have a physics object that being controlled the joystick behavior. The issue I’m having is the object slides all over the place instead of just stopping when I release the joystick or instantly changing direction.

So how can I create a movable object without any physics??

  • Where are your parents?
    GadgetkkG Gadgetkk

    Hi everyone,

I have just a generic question but how do you ‘parent’ an object in hyperpad (or have 1 object with a basic set of rules that other objects can pull from)?

Also similar to this is having a prototype object that can be created on the fly in the game (like placing objects in the game from a menu)?

    Thanks in advance.

  • Grid based placement

Ok here is what I’m trying...

    While touching > get position
    Modulus position_x by 1
    Modulus position_y by 1
Sub position_x minus final mod value
Sub position_y minus final mod value
Move to point X result Y result

And it doesn’t move at all.

    Clue #2 please.

I will see what I can do with that info. If I’m still struggling I will back.

Side question... how does a meter measure on the screen.

  • Grid based placement
    GadgetkkG Gadgetkk

    Hi everyone,

I’m new here and looking for some assistance... I’m making a top down game that requires grid based drag and drop and grid based item placement (think similar to the pc game factories and thousands of others, that’s just the one that come to mind for this).

Is that do able? Any have an example I can look at or point me in the right direction?

    Thanks in advance.
