I'm getting pretty bad lag and now sound stutters. Bit conserened about hyperPad's performance. -
@Jack8680 Not sure how I would make it more secure... And I can only store json and text files, what else could I do? π¬

@Kamdroid It's pretty smooth for me (60fps), and performance is very different across devices... I hope the bug fixes will solve the constant stuttering and lag, there needs to be something big that's killing performance...

We test hyperPad on iPads as old as the iPad 2. Obviously the iPad 2 won't be as fast as the latest iPads, but in our test it typically handles most smaller to medium projects decently well. It heavily depends on what you're doing as well. Large graphics, graphics with a lot of empty space/transparency, complicated logic (loops, spawning, etc.) lots of objects, and particles will all cause performance issues and should be used sparingly.
The graphics engine is not that bad, but it expects users to take some care in how they create their projects. Yes, we could implement features that handle a lot of stuff for you, but then it sacrifices power and you wouldn't be able to create awesome projects like this.

@murtaza iPad Air 2, iOS 12.1.1, unjailbroken
EDIT: RobinsonX released an optimisation update, and it's WAY smoother, only very minor lag now compared to before.

@Murtaza I am running iOS version 12.3.1 on iPad 5th generation, not jail broken.
@Kamdroid The global settings is what caused most of the lag, instead of having 120Hz and 10 iterations, I would use 60Hz and 1 iteration. Some other lag is from odd sources..
When you're touching or holding on the screen and the joystick(s), sometimes there's some stuttering... I know it's the While Touching and the Joystick Analog (behaviors that have constant outputs) that is causing the lag and I don't know how I can fix that...
I can just pray that it just gets fixed... π¬

Some other lag is from multiplayer, but it's not very big.

It got so laggy that my chat wasn't going through, and then particles managed to stick around once you left

@Kamdroid Oh, I can explain the lingering white beams. I was playing with new weapons that weren't released yet, so your game doesn't know what bullet I'm shooting. Yes, that's what blank bullets look like! White, and they don't fade away until they get recycled.

This is specifically for gameplay, the title screens and other menus will need to be adjusted.

I canβt login, always says invalid credentials. Is this a bug, or maybe Iβm remembering my password wrong. Any way to reset it? Would be cool to able to link it to email so I could do this

So far everything is working for me and I tested on some of my other alternative accounts and it works.

Man, I want raycasting...
Instead of having bullets being physical objects, we could just use raycasting. Just better than having to shoot physical objects, it's less performance-heavy...
I'm working towards having smoother and less buggy gameplay.

I will be working on rooms.
You can create a room or join one, players will have the opportunity to set the room's privacy to public or private and players can customize many parameters such as gravity, allowed guns, gamemodes, etc. but players will only gain XP from unchanged and defaulted rooms. (Rooms that are public and have normal gameplay)
