Texture designing apps
-
Hi There!
I am looking forward to making a game with HyperPad.
However I only have an iOS device.
I was just going to ask, what apps would you recommend using to make textures with?
[Edit] It would also be good if they were transparent textures, so anywhere were there isn't something, would become transparent.
Thanks, Benstar -
Hi Ben,
Aa lot of our users have made some great graphics with Sketch Club (https://itunes.apple.com/ca/app/sketch-club/id404414176?mt=8).
I'm also going to put together a list of some apps to use with hyperPad and make a thread here with that list so users can also add their own suggestions. So keep an eye out for that!

@Murtaza Thanks for that, however I'm looking at designing a more 8-bit game.
-
Ah for 8 Bit I remember some users trying the app "Sprite Something" (https://itunes.apple.com/ca/app/sprite-something/id372515745?mt=8)
I haven't tried this one my self though! -

Check out http://www.piskelapp.com/
It's a web app, so not sure how great it works on iPad. Pretty sure there is a free app version of it in the app store with a different name. -
I know one great pixel art programm, my friend and I do all pixel graphics in it. It's free, and it's called.. Pixel Art Maker! :-)
Just search for "Pixel art maker"in the Appstore. Publisher is "Mikomimimi". In my friends's and my opinion, it is an awesome app.
Sorry for bad english :-P -
@Benstar I use this great app called Pixely... You could try that out!
-
@Benstar i would highly recommend that you look into purchasing sketch club app, it has been my favorite graphic design app and it has a ton of features including pixel graphics.
-
@Abel I downloaded sketch club but how do you do 8-bit graphics:)

The editor app crashed so I just rushed this together all the "tools" are there, I recommend to draw or trace something to get used to the app and all its tools then begin
-
@Abel thanks :)
