Beta testers wanted!
-
@Murtaza I'm quite interested. I've done this before, and my reason is always the same. I want to help, and I want a preview to their new features. I always make sure to report any bug I find, and I send tons of emails of bugs and suggestions. Also, I don't know, but I might automatically get the beta test on testflight. Please consider excepting me to this beta.
-
@Murtaza I would like to beta test! I've done it before and I like finding bugs! I also want to test because I'm going to be working on a project that will need these behaviors!
-
I'm interested in beta testing. I've done a few beta tests before, and the main reason I want to test is because I want to try the new features 😛 I also want to help by submitting bug reports. I'm just curious:
- Will we be able to test out the networking features without pro?
- Is there a reason why you are limiting beta testers? More is better, right? Or are you worried about getting loads of duplicate bug reports?
-

Isn't there a way to be able to have a beta version of hyperPad while keeping the original at the same time? If there were I'd join beta for sure.
The beta replaces your original hyperPad.

- No. The beta keeps your hyperPad status, so if you're indie you only have access to indie features. This is so we can test this part as well.
- Pretty much. Information overload is often a negative thing. So We like to keep the betas manageable. We do a lot of internal testing as well. The public betas are more so for odd situations where we couldn't predict, or certain usability issues. Keeping the beta small also allows us to handle support better, we can keep track of the beta users easier and see the specific issues their facing.
-
I wouldn't mind participating, as I'm sure there's always more problems I can find for you to fix, and I have been apart of previous betas.
Also, because you love me :D
Just curious, in case I don't make it, when is the update being released? I need the networking, but can't afford pro until Christmas 🙃
-
@Murtaza the 4 of us, @Aidan-Oxley @Jack8680 @Thecheater887 and I - we're working on a project together, so if you're to select at least 1 of us can you please select the other 3 of us? If not, I don't know if any of us could really do it then.
-
@GameCRAZY we can uninstall and reinstall between beta and normal version, so when doing the collaboration we could be on normal version but when working on ideas like multiplayer we could switch to the beta
-
@Jack8680 we could, but it would be a headache, and we wouldn't be able to share the multiplayer with eachother if one of us isn't using the beta.
-
I would like to beta test

I'd like to beta test. I like seeing and playing around with all the new features, and I'd be happy to send feedback on bugs. I'm okay with not sharing any projects, as long as I can test the new features I will be happy :)
-
I would like to, I find problems sometimes that might not be easy to find.
-
I've never been apart of a beta but if GameCRAZY, Jack8680 or Thecheater887 are picked I would like to be as well because of our collaboration project. We will very likely be wanting to use and test the new features that come out like arrays and the networking stuff.
-
sure i will
-
@Murtaza I'm still interested in the beta, I plan to use arrays to implement A* pathfinding and some other stuff. Just to check: arrays will have better performance than dynamic attributes, right? Right now I'm using combine text to combine the array name with an index to get and set values for arrays, I'm assuming arrays will perform better? Even if they don't, it'll be useful because I won't need to use combine text every time, and multidimensional arrays will be much easier to make.
-
I think this is the kind of thing I would be good for. I'd like to see if there's any bugs just in case and test a few things to makes sure everything's perfect!
Although I'm just wondering if there are any new behaviours, I guess there will be but just to be curios. -
@Saito check out their roadmap linked in the top post, the next update is the one with http requests, arrays, and sockets
-
We're getting close to the beta. I've created a beta sub forum that selected users have access to.
-
Im interested. Im very good at constructive criticism, and bug testing (Unless it's something complicated)
-
@XGames beta has already started, and users have already been picked.
-
oh, okay
