@gamecrazy I had the exact same issue on a folder in Dropbox, but the other folders there worked fine (I think).
-
@murtaza Given the current bugs in sprite sequences, it's highly unlikely he's going to be able to use 40 images. Hence the link.
There is, so far as I know, only one aspect of Sprite animations working, and that only partly works. That's the custom creation of a sequence from a few images. More than 7 images and this fails, too.
In other words, everything about sprite animations, sprite sequences and bitmap fonts is broken, except the above caveat.
-
@deeeds I am not using all of them for one animation though.
-
@jack8680 I'll try moving to another folder then.
-
-
@gamecrazy I only had it with a single graphic by itself in a folder. I used the Dropbox app to download it and just imported it from camera roll.
-
@jack8680 Over the Summer, I released Infinity Square on the App Store.
Now, I am working on an update with 4 modes (there are 2 currently) and 4 themes, each with different backgrounds, colors, animations, etc, etc. 2 of the themes (and the other 2 modes) will cost money, so it is important I make them as rich as possible.
Constant action, many different graphics complete with all sorts of effects... basically, as appealing as possible!

Infinity Square on the App Store
If using iOS 11...
Save images to iCloud (from Mac), then import (one by one) to iPad from Files ( = iOS Finder).
If making on PC and/or iOS 10: email images to yourself, save on iPad to Files or Photos, then "share" (one by one) to hyperPad.
It boggles my mind that this is the only way to do this other than dealing with the issues and draconian malware that is dropbox.
-
@deeeds I understand all this, but my iPad Mini and IOS 9 make the process a nightmare. These forty images are only one theme; four themes = about 200 images.
-
Have you tried my suggestions above?
Try importing one at a time, or less. Just to see if it works. Also make sure you have enough free space.
-
@murtaza I do have enough space. 1.9 GB in iPad storage and 2.6 iCloud storage. However, I tried downloading, and when I try to download anything from iCloud, Dropbox, etc. etc. none of it appears in camera roll.
It is a shame you drops Dropbox integration. I have no idea what I will do now.

I've had this problem in iOS 10 and 11. This is not unique to iOS 9... just in case you're wondering.
This is why I use the "email to self, save to Files (iOS Finder), import to hyperPad" technique described earlier. It's the only one sure to work, that I've found.
I feel your pain regarding 100's of images. I have many, too. And experiment with lots of image iterations to get the right "look". Each one manually loaded, one at a time. Same with sounds. Very annoying, very slow, one by one...
-
@GameCRAZY
Have you tried selecting less images though? The amount of images you can import at once is dictated by the memory of the iPad. If I remember correctly you're using an older iPad, so you don't have that much memory to start with.
-
When I try to open the folder from Dropbox, there is nothing there. When I move images around, still not there. It is impossible to select.
Now, when I try to download just one image from Dropbox to my iPad, nothing happens. No matter how long I wait, my camera roll remains untouched. And I can take pictures, in case you are wondering.
Finally, when I try to download any single image from iCloud Drive, again, nothing happens. It does not open in Hyperpad, nor does it appear in my camera roll.
Emailing works. It just takes forever.
Once the photos do get to my camera roll, I can open it in Hyperpad. But this is crazy, honestly. Why does this have to be such a hard, lengthy process? Why is this so bugged?
-
Can you take a video of your process? I feel like there is a step here that I'm missing and could help diagnose this bug so we can fix it.
We didn't change the standard import functionality so it should be working fine for regular importing. But it could be another change that introduced the bug.
-
@murtaza Do you know an app I can use to record my iPad screen?
-
If you have a mac, you can use Quicktime to record your screen.
Also the latest iOS now has screen recording built in. -
@gamecrazy If you have iOS 11, Settings → Control Centre → Customise Controls → find and add Screen Recording. Then you can use it through control centre.
-
@aidan-oxley @Murtaza I have IOS 9. I will try to figure out, and if worst comes to worst, I'll have to record with another device.
-
@murtaza None of the video apps worked on my IOS, so I recorded using another device. Now, they will not even upload here, because I don’t have the necessary permissions. (whatever that means)
As for the game: What is wrong with these files? Email won’t work, I cannot figure out even one way to download the images to my camera roll. Nothing opens in camera roll no matter how many time I port it over, and Hyperpad is no longer compatible with Dropbox.
And I could have gotten a lot done, even another update to the App Store potentially. Can you give me an actual solution?
Remember: iPad Mini, IOS 9.3.5 (not updateable)
