@aidan-oxley I agree. Drawing behaviour just isn't very feasible (unless you have a really small pixelated canvas). Eventually, hyperPad will lag and I occasionally got some black flashes.

I think converting the multiple objects into a whole object/graphic could fix this, unless hyperPad can make some super optimised scenery objects (would be the best).

@kamdroid Merge Objects? Merges their graphics and maybe collisions into one object. Would need a lot of thinking on all the details on how it would work though I think if this were to be done.

Yeah one idea I had is a “create bitmap” behaviour. That will create an actual exportable image from your onject(s).

Ideally this will be in place after we have a hierarchically object system so you can manage a group of objects all at once.

U should be able to not collide with the bits that aren’t there. Collisions will be much better

Do you mean on transparent images? This adds a lot of complexity. It’s better if you just change the collisions your self, you get better performance that way.

@Murtaza I'm just curious about the date of the next update... When's the predicted release date? It's been a while since the last update. 😬

Also a question about updates, would it be better to have more frequent but smaller updates rather than the rare but big updates you do now? I feel like you might get less of the problem where people don't do much because they are waiting for the next big update, maybe because we don't want to make stuff just to have to remake it when update comes out because the old logic doesn't work or there's something better. And maybe smaller updates would have less chances of things going wrong perhaps?

We're working on two updates simultaneously. The first one should be out soon, we're doing some private beta testing now. It's more of a bug fix update and a few changes to behaviours Will do a public beta test this week (maybe today?) So if you guys want part of that keep an eye out.

We've tried this before. The issue is people just stop updating. When the updates are too frequent a lot of people start skipping them and we have a lot of bug reports that were fixed, or they cant access hub and complain.

To be honest though, the 1.24 update is about 3 months behind. It was supposed to be out a long time ago, but we got caught up with other issues and the hub so its been delayed. :(

As for updates breaking previous projects, this shouldn't be the case. We try to avoid this as much as possible (often why it takes a while for an update!). If that happens then report it as a bug.

                      Edit:
Another issue that I forgot to mention is that Google change the way Ads and Analytics work. So to continue supporting these we need to make changes and wait for their response. I think we're now ready to move forward so this should hopefully be the last hurdle for 1.24

I also have an idea for hit boxes, tap the hit box editor button in the edit object thing ant then you can change the shape of the hit box and you can add multiple hit boxes for 1 object! 😛 alt text

@Supersean We can change the shape of the collisions, it's a thing.

But having multiple colliders for a single object will be useful! (Especially in 2D Platform Games)

@supersean You should read the documentation, found in the "Learn" tab

Read this to see how to edit collisions and other things:
                              Object Properties (Selected Object)

I also have an idea for 3D mode and you make the sprites with makers empire, 3d paint, ect and you can make the camera move left, right AND up ‘n’ down

@Supersean 3D would be cool to see, but do you think it would be easy to make a 3D game?

Besides, I'm not sure if our devices can handle it. It already lags just on 2D...

There should be a behaviour in the “transform” tab that lets you edit the Collider, in the collider editor, it will show the object that has the collider that’s getting edited, and it will have an option for “Turn of colliders” hope u like my idea! :))))))

It will be great for attacking with only 1 sprite

You can already turn off collisions. One way is to use the make passible behaviour https://hyperpad.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/360016443571-Make-Passable

You can also make your object a scenery object.
