COVID really put a delay on a lot of things for us. Early on in the pandemic development pretty much stopped. Then we switched to remote, which was a challenging early on, and we lost a lot of development time. We’re now just getting back in the groove of things. The update that was supposed to be release months ago is getting much closer to release now. After that will be the hub/community revamp. Then lighting with parallax. No promises on dates since things really went downhill the last time. But we’re getting back on track!

@Kamdroid yes. It goes into how they handle files and share. We so wouldn’t be able to have something like the hub, and project sharing in general would be a huge challenge. Part of hyperpads “secret sauce” is that we adhere to apples guidelines while still enabling sharing.

I'm happy that hyperPad is meeting most of your needs! We really appreciate the feedback and effort you've been putting in! Lighting and parallax won't be coming in a month, but I do hope they do come before the end of the year.

I graduated as a compsci. There are ways to handle in app purchases when exporting, but this is pretty low priority since i've made lots of example snippets on implementing iap on exported projects.

@SplitMindGaming Yeah that would be really interesting to have! I only knew Plastic as a sort of 2d rigged animation app but I didn't really liked it, I couldn't work with it. For the pixel app, I don't really know but I use IbisPaint X for like everything ( artwork, pixelart, design, etc... ). It support many features such as Interpolation wich when it's disabled, you can easily work on pixel art. And for every sound, I would always recommend GarageBand cause it's free and it has so much useful tools, I make everything related to sound on it. I would wich for more apps like that tho, there aren't any choices right now, I really hope there will be more apps like that 🤦😭

Android is unrealistic right now, as it pretty much will require a total rewrite. We do hope to expand on more iOS and Apple platforms though (like apple TV and Mac). I do get your frustration with Apples $99 yearly fee. However there are some reason behind it. Apple uses it as a filter so the app store is not riddled with junk. Also, you generally get "better" users on iOS than you do on android. And by better users I mean users who are engaged, more likely to play, more likely to appreciate the product, and just overall more rewarding for the developer. There is a reason why most major app releases are on iOS first.
